Who can publish documents to Construction Hive?

Only companies that have a publishing agreement (“member companies”) with Spectra QEST can publish documents to Construction Hive™.

How do I receive and access documents?

When a document is published to you, you will receive an email notification of this event. The email will contain a link to the document on Construction Hive™. You will not be required to create an account or log in to immediately view this new document from the link. The link to the document in the email expires after 14 days.

Documents are immediately available on Construction Hive after publishing. Creating an account will allow you access to all documents that have been published to you, even after the document link in the email notification has expired.

How do I create an account?

With the first document published to you by a member company, you will receive an email with an invitation to create a Construction Hive™ account. Contact the company from whom you expect to receive documents to receive an invitation email. Spectra QEST cannot create Construction Hive accounts upon request.

It is free to create a Construction Hive account, which will allow you to receive, view, download, and search for documents published to you on Construction Hive.

How do I reset my password?

Select the “Forgot Password” link on the login page and enter your email address. You will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password.

How do I search for a specific document?

You can try a keyword search via the search box in the top-right of the page. Construction Hive™ indexes a lot of different information for documents, so you can try searching by parts of the document number, project name, location, tag or other known information.

Alternatively, click on the Advanced Search to perform a more customized search, allowing you to specify documents that you haven't read, documents published within a certain date range, and so on.

How do I change my email notifications?

If you have not created an account on Construction Hive™, you will email notifications for documents that are published to you. Depending on the company that publishes documents to you, you may receive one notification for each document, or a summary of all documents published to you each day.

To change how often you are notified of new documents on Construction Hive, notification settings can be changed via your account Settings in the top-right of the page (requires login).

You can opt to receive a daily email (morning or afternoon) showing all new documents that you have received, or you can opt to turn off notifications entirely. This is not generally recommended, as you will have no way of knowing when a document has been sent to you except by regularly checking this site.

I am not receiving email notifications from Construction Hive. Why?

You may have been told that a document was published to you by a member company, but you have not received a notification of this event or you are trying to setup a new account or reset a password.

Email notifications are sent from the @constructionhive.com domain for the following:

  • New documents published to you
  • Account creation token
  • Password reset

Please check your spam or junk folders in your email for these Construction Hive™ emails before contacting the document publisher.

Also, your organization’s email server may be blocking incoming emails from the Construction Hive domain. Please check with your IT about this before contacting the document publisher.

There is a problem with the content of a document I received. Who do I contact?

For help related to the content of the documents published to you, you will need to contact the member company or publisher of the document. The company and publisher can be viewed on the document details page in the top right hand corner along with contact information.

I need to add a recipient to a project’s document distribution. Who do I contact?

For published documents, you can forward these to additional recipients in Construction Hive.

For future document publishing, you will need to contact the member company or publisher of the document and request the additional recipient(s) be added to the document distribution. The company and publisher can be viewed on the document details page in the top right hand corner along with contact information.

I have a question not listed here. Who do I contact?

If your organization subscribes to QEST Platform, contact your QEST Administrator with questions regarding Construction Hive.
